the design haven edit...
Welcome to Design Haven, where you’ll find home design ideas for families who want spaces that are not only beautiful but also functional, intentional, and designed for everyday living. I’m Mary Shamow, an interior designer and mom of four who believes our homes should support the moments that matter most: the routines, memories, and people who fill them.
For nearly a decade, I’ve helped create thoughtfully designed spaces, but becoming a mother changed the way I viewed home. I realized that great design isn’t just about how a space looks; it’s about how it works. From practical solutions and family-friendly finds to intentional design inspiration, Design Haven is here to help you create a home that feels welcoming, meaningful, and uniquely yours.
Discover the heart behind this new chapter of Design Haven and learn why I’m taking a more intentional approach to my work, motherhood, and helping families create homes they love.
